Itinerary
Day 1 Taoyuan – Taipei -Danshui-
Pick up from Taoyuan Airport to Taipei and north west to Danshui. Visit Danshui Fisherman’s Wharf, one of the popular scenic spots in Taipei. Watch spectacular sunsets and beautiful night scenes from The Lover’s Bridge.
Day 2 Yeliu – Keelung – Jiufen
Travel east to Yelui, a cape of about 1,700 meters long formed by Datun Mountain reaching into the sea. See amazing rock formations. Head south along the east coast to Keelung and Jiufen, a quaint mountain village once a centre of gold mining. Visit the many unique teahouses here.

Day 3 Yilan – Hualien
Enjoy a scenic drive along the East coast through Yilan County to Hualien.
Day 4 Taroko National Park
Visit Taroko National Park best known for its awesome marble-walled gorge as well as its majestic mountain scenery, Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallows’ Grottos, Tunnel of Nine Turns and other incomparable sights. Admire the spectacular geological features like the Baiyang Waterfall just above the gorge and the precipitous Qinshui Cliffs.
Optional 1 day tour to Hehuanshan National Forest
Watch spectacular sunrise and sunset at Hehuanshan, take the many hiking trails to reach peaks above 3000m.
Day 5 Hualien – Taitung East Rift Valley – Guanshan
From Hualien county travel along picturesque mountain roads to Taitung county’s East Rift Valley, a national scenic area that empasses mountains, valleys and hotsprings with farm fields of rice, pomeloes, sugar apples rich in abundance. Stop by at Guanshan, a green mountain famous for its beautiful scenery and high quality rice and sweet oranges. Or continue to Jhihben. Visit its Forest Recreation Area that is rich in natural scenery like hot springs and waterfalls.

Day 6 Kenting – Kaohsiung
Drive south along scenic east coast to Kenting, the southern most tip of Taiwan where more than 1000 species of plants grown are arranged according to type eg medicinal plants, tropical fruits, rubber trees. Visit Fairy cave and 27m high tower for spectacular views of surrounding islands.
Head north on southwest coast to Kaohsiung County.
Day 7 Meinong – Tainan – Fenqihu
Visit Meinong, famous Hakka district located in valley of tobacco and rice fields. Soak in the Hakka heritage and culture. Continue north to Tainan county which has more reservoirs than any other county. Then to Fenqihu, a quaint village town fitted snugly on a high slope between mountain bodies. Breathe in the clean mountain air, take a walk on numerous nature trails, visit the Japanese-era railway station.
Day 8 Alishan – Nantou – Sun Moon Lake
More spectacular views of nature as we continue north to Alishan area and into Nantou county to one of Taiwan’s most scenic spots, Sun Moon Lake.
Day 9 Nantou – Taichung – Taipei
Visit Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village where the cultural heritage of Taiwan’s nine hill-tribes are preserved. At Taipei city go for shopping sprees at Ximending, Taipei 101 and savour delicious Din Tai Fung cuisine.
Day 10 – Taipei – Home
Visit National Palace Museum and Martyr’s Shrine to observe the changing of guards’ ceremony.
